Champagne Popping // paper sculpture

This 10"x10" paper sculpture created in bas-relief was crafted using only Strathmore 2-ply bristol paper. The sculpture is showing the result of a champagne bottle popping with the cursive letterform of a 'c' in the bubbles. Many different paper working techniques such as peeling, tearing, curling, crimping, cutting, and poking were used to create the elements of the sculpture to be as realistic as possible while working within the constraints of only using white paper.
